Summary

WHEN LOOKING AT ADULT IPD CASES,
CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

~1 in 3 cases of IPD in adults aged ≥65 years is due to serotypes not included in current PCVs.1,3,4,a,b

Nearly half (~44%) of all IPD cases in adults 50+ in USA are caused by serotypes not included in any other PCV approved for adults.5-7,c

IPD remains a serious risk, ~1 in 6 cases of IPD in adults aged ≥65 years results in death.1,a
